Having grown up in Kentucky I was exposed frequently to caves. Mammoth Cave was one of my favorites. This mixed media piece shows the color and textures that can be found underground.

This piece started out to test how I could build layers using Powertex.... so the layers kept building and building- when the teal was added it gave the piece even more dimension. It allowed a focal point to be built and highlighted where the main focus of the eye was.
